Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable closing of an outer end part of a lateral communication hole with a simple structure by closing the outer end part of the lateral communication hole with a ball plug with which the periphery part of the outer end of the lateral communication hole is caulked and engaged to achieve a sufficient pressure withstanding strength and a sealability. SOLUTION: A pressing surface 40 of a punch 38 is brought into contact with a ball plug 35 to insert a part of the ball plug 35 into a lateral communication hole 31 and the punch 38 is pressurized in the direction of pressing. As a result, the ball plug 35 is pressed into the outer end part of the lateral communication hole 31 while a wedge part 39 of the punch 38 is dogged into a head part 14 so that a caulked part 14a formed by plastically deforming the head part 14 at the periphery of the outer end of the lateral communication hole 31 is engaged with the ball plug 35. This enables obtaining of a sufficient pressure withstanding strength and sealability with a structure of closing the lateral communication hole using the ball plug. |
