Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate many devices or many functions through are easy operation on a single remote controller not by an operation key by switching display screens hierarchically or sending an indication for the operation to the equipment with an operation command pressed, and converting it into a control signal and sending it out. SOLUTION: On the top surface of the remote controller R, a display device 1 which displays operation commands is formed of liquid crystal, etc., an infrared-ray emission part 3 provided at the lengthwise tip part emits control signals to respective operated devices when the operation commands displayed on the display device 1 are pressed, and an infrared-ray reception part 4 stores control signals characteristics of the respective operated devices. Further, a substrate which is protected by being sandwiched between a lower case 5 and an upper case 6 below the display device 1 controls the contents of the displayed operation commands, instructions selected with the operation commands, and the signal conversion of the infrared-ray emission part 3 and infrared-ray reception part 4. Further, a position fixing switch provided to the lower case 5 fixes a display screen which is switched frequently on the display device 1.
