Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the digit number of a password number based on significance, etc., of individual information by setting erroneous input count that makes a medium unusable in accordance with the digit number of the password number. SOLUTION: A host computer 109 retrieves an individual information file 111 based on a read account number and receives the digit number of a password number. Next, it retrieves a digit-erroneous input count file 112 and receives an erroneous input count which makes a cash card 101 which corresponds to the digit number of the password number unusable. At this time, the value of the counter 108 is made one. Received erroneous input count is compared with the value of a counter 108, and when the value of the counter 108 is larger than the erroneous input count, the card 101 is made unusable. When it is smaller, an input device 103 receives the password, and the computer 109 collates the received password number with the password number of the file 111 and continues normal processing when they coincide with each other. When they do not, the value of the counter 108 is increased by one and the above steps are repeated while the value of the counter 108 is equal to or lower than the erroneous input count. |
