Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide heat storage facility which is driven by a fan and reduces loss of energy when heat is stored and radiated, and a control method thereof. SOLUTION: Heat storage facility is constituted by providing a plurality of heat storage bodies 3 which can store and radiate heat freely by contact fluid R in a space D between an external wall body 1 and an internal wall body 2 and providing a take-in port 4 which can take in the contact fluid R freely into the space D, a discharge port 5 which can discharge the contact fluid R in contact with the heat storage body 3 into a room, and a fan F which sucks the contact fluid R from the take-in port 4 into the space D and discharges it form the discharge port 5. In this case, a measuring part 11 of a heat flow meter which measures inflow and outflow speed of heat is provided in the heat storage body 3, a thermometer 12 which measures temperature of the room is provided, and a control means which starts and stops the fan F based on the temperature of the room, the direction of inflow and outflow which is judged based on inflow and outflow speed of heat, and heat storage amount obtained by integrating inflow and outflow speed of heat is provided.
