Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject sealing material capable of improving workability of the dismantling of an opening part when extending an electric wire and performing reexecution and preventing the scattering of a refractory filer, by adding a phosphorus-based flame-retardant, a polyhydric alcohol, etc., in a specific ratio to a liquid polymer. SOLUTION: This material comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a liquid polymer, (B) >=5 pts.wt. of a phosphorus-based flame-retardant (e.g. ammonium polyphosphate), (C) >=5 pts.wt. of a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. pentaerythritol), (D) 10-200 pts.wt. of an alkali silicic acid compound (e.g. sodium metasilicate), (E) 1-50 pts.wt. of heat-resistant fibers (e.g. glass fibers) and (F) 10-200 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler. Preferably, the component A is an acrylonitrile butadiene rubber or a polychloroprene and the component F is a metal hydroxide such as aluminum hydroxide.
