Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to grasp the execution path of a program and efficiently debug it by referring to various information stored in a memory at a request from a host computer and deleting the latest current information stored in the memory on detecting the execution of a return instruction. SOLUTION: A monitor circuit 39 makes it possible to refer to various information such as history data stored in the memory 35 at the request from the host computer. Further, when a subroutine return instruction or interruption return instruction is detected, a branch return instruction execution detecting means 34 decides whether or not the address where the return instruction is executed is in an address range. When it is decided that the address is in the address range and the storage of its index data in memory areas 37a-37g is specified, the latest memory contents matching the index data stored in a data storage register 33 are deleted from the memory 35.
