Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having proper viscosity and not impairing stability of hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorous acid alkyl metal salt by using a specific straight-chain alkylbenzene sulfonic acid or its salt as a thickening component. SOLUTION: This bleaching agent composition contains a straight-chain alkylbenzene sulfonic acid or its salt as a thickening component. The acid or its salt contains <10wt.% benzocycloalkane derivative. Furthermore, the benzocycloalkane derivative is preferably indane or its derivative, tetralin or its derivative and the sulfonic acid salt is preferably potassium salt or sodium salt and the content of the acid or its salt in the composition is preferably e.g. 0.01-10wt.%.
