Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To neatly seal a mouth rim without causing wrinkles or shifting a surface and a rear in position by separating an extending member inserted in a mouth of a bag to have the mouth rim of the bag linearly extended and pressing a sealing member for sealing. SOLUTION: A vacuum cup 24 is operated above a containing box 13 to suck a bag C at the uppermost position in the box 13 for mounting it on a base 12. Then upper and lower vacuum cups 31, 32 are simultaneously operated to open the bag C. A part of an object W to be packaged is temporarily inserted into a mouth of the bag C together with a receive plate 41 and a front end of an extending member 44, and further a pushing member 47 is advanced to push only the object W forward. Then the pushing member 47 is retreated, and the extending member 44 is separated to extend the mouth rim of the bag C flat. Then a pressure applying box 54 is lowered to exhaust air in the bag C by compressed air, and an upper sealing part 58 is lowered to be pushed against a lower sealing member 59 for heat-sealing the mouth rim of the bag C.
