PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair-treating cosmetic containing dendrimer (a resinous substance) or a dendrimer conjugate and capable of imparting a good touch and a good combing property to hair in a wet state and a good touch, a good elastic property and a good material touch to the hair in a dry state. SOLUTION: This hair-treating cosmetic contains at least one of dendrimer and a dendrimer conjugate in a proper cosmetic base in an amount of 0.01-75wt.%. The hair-treating cosmetic preferably further contains a surfactant, water, a keratin-reducing mercapto compound, a dye, a natural polymer, etc. The dendrimer or the dendrimer conjugate is based on 1,4-diaminobutane and acrylonitrile. The cosmetic may be prepared in the form of a shampoo, a barbering agent, a hair-dressing agent, a hair-dyeing agent, a hair color-toning agent, an agent for coloring hair into fair hair or a permanent wave-processing agent.
