Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of adjusting an extrusion stroke in accordance with a paper sheet size, and managing the tip stopping position of the paper sheet, when the paper sheet is extruded to the front surface due to that adjustment, in constant or within a constant range. SOLUTION: In a sprinter 11 wherein a printing mechanism part 4 is provided inside a boxlike casing 2, and also a discharged paper tray 22 for receiving a printed paper sheet 20 discharged from the printing mechanism part 4, and an extruding lever 25 for horizontally extruding the paper sheet 20 on the discharged paper tray 22 toward a discharged paper port 18 provided on the side plate 2a of the casing 2, are provided in the adjoining space; a driving mechanism 30, for reciprocatingly moving the extruding lever 25 along an extruding direction with stroke adjustably, is provided, and the driving mechanism 39 is constituted of an extruding rod 31, a rack 38, a pinion gear 41, and a stepping motor.
