Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splashing preventive device for raw materials in a mixer which eliminates the useless consumption of raw materials and obviates the occurrence of out of order, corrosion, etc., by the contamination of a machine, as a clearance disposed to luff a bowl is completely hermetically closed to prevent the splashing of the raw materials even if the device is provided with such clearance. SOLUTION: This mixer freely luffably and pivotally supports the box-shaped bowl having an arc bottom to a fixing frame 1 and is provided with an agitator 3 rotated by a shaft in this bowl. The bowl is raised at the time of mixing the raw materials. The bowl is positioned prone to allow the taking out of dough. In such a case, the clearance 14 which does not hinder the luffing of the bowl is formed between both side edges 2c of the opening of the bowl and a ceiling 6 to close the opening of the bowl by being mounted at the fixing frame 1. A hollow sealing member 18 corresponding to the clearance 14 is mounted at both side edges 2c of the opening of the bowl or the ceiling slightly apart from the opposite surface. This sealing member 18 is brought into pressurized contact with the opposite surface to hermetically close the clearance 14 when pressure fluid is supplied from a supplying means to the hollow part.
