Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode-forming method for electrodes, which can show high display quality on a plasma display with an extremely fine plasma display panel or a large area. SOLUTION: Photosensitive black conductive paste 3 containing black pigment is applied to transparent electrodes 2 on an insulating substrate 1 and dried, and then photosensitive conductive paste is applied on a coating film of the photosensitive black conductive paste 3 and dried. The coating film of the photosensitive black conductive paste and the coating film of the photosensitive conductive paste are exposed to light at a time via a mask with a prescribed pattern, developed and then fired to form electrodes in two layers, consisting of a black conductive layer 6 and a main conductive layer 7.
