Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high speed system for converting a gray level source image into a binary intermediate destination image by comparing a source gray pixel outputted correspondingly to an index bit with a corresponding threshold pixel value and allocating a binary value in accordance with a compared result. SOLUTION: A memory stores a part of a pixel rows or the like. An index bit is stored in a register 202 and a source pixel, value is written in a source register 200. Scaling switch logic 212 includes a destination image string output and outputs a gray level source pixel to each output correspondingly to each index bit. Each of adjusting switches 216, 218 outputs a threshold pixel value adjusted in accordance with a destination image pixel. A comparator 206 compares each gray level source pixel with a corresponding threshold pixel value and allocates a binary value in accordance with a compared result. |
