Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the effect of preventing a danger due to the mischief of a little child by releasing a lid lock corresponding to release input to a child lock means in a washing machine for locking a lid corresponding to input to the child lock means for setting the prevention of the mischief of the little child. SOLUTION: When a power source switch is pressed, a desired operation course is set by an operation course switch for washing contents and the child lock switch 20 of an operation switch 18 is pressed for prescribed time so as to prevent malfunctions due to the mischief of the little child, a timer inside a control means 6 starts counting, child lock display is lighted at the time of counting up and reporting sound is rung. Also, the re-input of the operation switch 18 thereafter is not received. Simultaneously, the lid lock means 19 of the lid 10 is operated and the opening and closing of the lid 10 are disabled. The setting is released by pressing the child lock switch 20 again for the prescribed time.
