Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating method and a device therefor in which a heating object in an anaerobic treatment tank is specified in solid matter to be decomposed that is settled and deposited in the bottom of the tank and the solid matter to be decomposed is anaerobically dissolved and decomposed efficiently without being influenced by fluctuation of the temperature of water introduced and discharged into from the tank and the expense of the device and maintenance cost are reduced. SOLUTION: In the sewage treatment device having the anaerobic treatment tank 1, a support pedestal 2 passing precipitate is holizontally provided at an interval from the base on the bottom in the inside of the anaerobic treatment tank 1. A heating device in which a heating wire-element is arranged in a row is provided on the support pedestal 2. Solid matter 7 to be decomposed, which is deposited in the upper part and the lower part of the heating device, is directly heated thereby and anaerobically dissolved and decomposed without being influenced by fluctuation of the temperature of water in the tank.
