PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reserve data transmission by isochronous communication in a network to which an A/V device or the like is connected with a serial bus through which data and a control signal are sent in the communication asynchronously with the isochronous communication. SOLUTION: A 1394 device 200 sends a reserved time zone 1200 to an isochronous management device 300. The isochronous management device 300 generates reservation status information 1300 from the reservation time zone 1200 and network reservation information 1300 and sends the information 1300 to the 1394 device 200. The 1394 device 200 makes reservation propriety discrimination from the reservation status information 1300 and sends reservation registration information 1400 to the isochronous communication equipment 300 when the reservation is possible. The isochronous management device 300 registers the reservation registration information 1400 and sends a reservation ID 1500 to the 1394 device 200. The 1394 device 200 stores reservation information to isochronous reservation information 800.
