Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a programmable controller that can easily change the discriminating condition of a bit device when a certain specific sequence program is executed according to the on/off states of the bit device. SOLUTION: This method has an attribute that shows the existence of a sequence program, which is executed via the bit discrimination to a program attribute as the program information, a device which decides to execute or not to execute a program according to the program attribute and the bit discrimination, and a program information table 11 whose execution condition is set by a parameter. Then the program information on the table 11 is referred to by execution of a system program 12 in order to perform a series of processing routines including the bit discrimination program presence/absence decision processing, the processing to acquire the bit device data from a device memory and the bit discrimination program execution processing. In such a constitution, the execution/non-execution of a certain specific sequence program is switched according to the on/off states of a bit device.
