Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fine cellulose having a non-freezing water amount in high level and having high water holding property and suspension stability and its suspension. SOLUTION: This fine cellulose has non-freezing water amount Wnf represented by the formula 0.20<=log Wnf<=0.72 log Wc when measured in a moisture content Wc in a range of the formula; 6 (g/g)<=Wc<=250 (g/g). The fine cellulose is preferably particlate or fibrous and the weight average fiber length of the fibrous cellulose is <=800 μm. A suspension containing such fine cellulose has high water holding property and suspension stability and can impart high water holding property to a material to be treated when added to the material to be treated.
