PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently humidify by slight steam humidification by water- humidifying the atmosphere or the air obtained by mixing the atmosphere with returned air and then steam-humidifying it to feed it into a room in the case of introducing the atmosphere in the state that the atmospheric temperature is lower than that indoor and cooling a room with cold heat of the atmosphere. SOLUTION: The outdoor air OA and return air RA introduced into an air conditioner casing 1 are mixed by a mixing chamber 2, air conditioned to a predetermined temperature via a cooling coil 3, then sequentially passed through a water humidifier 10 and steam humidifier 12 to become supply air SA of a predetermined humidity, and the air SA is supplied to respective rooms of a building via a duct by a fan 5. That is, the air raised to certain degree of humidity in contact with the humidifier 10 is brought into contact with the steam ejected from the humidifier 12 to be humidified. According to this humidifying method, it supplements humidifying ability insufficiency only by water humidification and suppresses steam generating power and enthalpy rise only by the steam humidification, thereby saving energy for humidification.
