Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water reforming method giving satisfactory environment required for the reproduction and growth of fishes and shells living in fresh water and plants such as water plants by improving the quality of water flowing through a channel such as a river through the use of a blast furnace slag. SOLUTION: The blast furnace slag 1 is dipped in flowing water and a contact area with the slag 1 is adjusted to make Ca ions in flowing water: 5.5 to 30 mg/l, silicate ions: 25 to 125 mg/l and pH=6.0 to 8.5 to make living environment suited to the growth of fish and shells living in fresh water and diatoms being feed for fish and shells. The contact area is adjusted by either one of or both the grading of the slag and the surface area of the slag 1. |
