PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing case capable of taking out sheet-like articles one sheet by one sheet reliably in a simple manipulation when they are taken out of the case. SOLUTION: This housing case 1A is a housing case for housing cosmetic absorbent paper 10 and is composed of a case main body 2, a lid 5 and a tongue piece 6. The case main body 2 has, in its interior, a housing space 3 capable of housing a plurality of sheets of the cosmetic absorbent paper 10 in a superposed state and has an opening 4 for taking out the cosmetic absorbent paper 10. The lid 5 is provided at one end of the case main body 2 in such a manner that it can be flapped relative to the case main body 2. The tongue piece 6 extending toward the inside of the opening 4 is provided to the case main body 2. This tongue piece 6 is composed of a member having elasticity. Further, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 7 which sticks on the cosmetic absorbent paper 10 and which has reseparable weal adhesion is formed on a face of a top end of the tongue piece 6, which is on the side face facing the opening 4.
