Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the satellite antenna system for mounting on mobile object that is able to control an azimuth angle of the antenna with high accuracy even when a reception level and an interruption level of a signal from a satellite is small. SOLUTION: A 1st level detection means 72 detects a 1st reception level LA by averaging levels of an IF signal fed from a distribution means 71 over a prescribed frequency range around a frequency of a specific carrier. A 2nd level detection means 73 detects a 2nd reception level LB by averaging levels of an IF signal fed from the distribution means 71 over a prescribed frequency range other frequency range than that of a carrier. An arithmetic means 74 obtains a 3rd reception level LC by taking a difference between the 1st reception level LA and the 2nd reception level LB. The 3rd reception level LC includes only the level of the carrier because the interruption level is eliminated.
