Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head for improving assembling properties by incorporating a stable connecting force without impairing ink discharging performance in a roof type ink jet recording head and a method for manufacturing it. SOLUTION: A heater board 1 having many heaters formed is placed on a radiating plate 3, and a nozzle plate 2 having nozzles opened to discharge ink to positions opposed to the heaters on the board 1 are aligned. And, the plate 2, board 1 and plate 3 are held by a spring member 4. Thus, the plate 2 is pressed to the board 1 by an elastic force of the member 4 to connect the both.
