Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently finish-coating the inside of the door of an automobile in a white-pearl tone or a silver-pearl tone to the same degree as that of an outside sheet part. SOLUTION: When an outside sheet part of an automobile and the inside of a door are overcoated, the outside sheet part is applied with a grayish colored basepaint (A) having N7-9 in a Munsell chart, a titanium oxide-coated mica powder-contg. non-interference basepaint (B) and a clear paint (C) by the three coat-one bake system. In this case, the inside of the door is applied in advance with the colored basepaint (A) before the outside sheet part is applied with the colored basepaint (A). Subsequently, the inside of the door is applied with an org. solvent-base liq. paint contg. 0.2-3 pts.wt. of titanium oxide-coated mica powder per 100 pts.wt. of a resin solid after the outside sheet part is applied with the non-interference basepaint (B) and before the outside sheet part is applied with a clear paint (C). |
