Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired particle size and uniform distribution at the time of pulverizing a sample. SOLUTION: A sample is pulverized between a circumferential wall 11 and the outer peripheral surface of a rotor stone 2 by housing the doughnut-like rotor stone 2 in a cylindrical pulverizing pot 1 and by moving the rotor stone 2 through eccentrically revolving and shaking the pulverizing pot 1. Since the weight of the rotor stone 2 is adjusted by changing the inside diameter of the rotor stone 2 without changing the outside diameter, the average particle size is changed while keeping the uniformity to control the particle size of the pulverized sample. The rotor stone 2 is doughnut-like, a screen is composed of a reinforcing plate in the inside and a sieve in the outside and the opening ratio of the reinforcing plate 5 is made to be between 50% and 75%.
