Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deodorizing appliance that decomposes, removes and deodorizes odorous molecules efficiently for a long period by compounding electromagnetic waves radiation ceramic grains of specific grain sizes which are of a specific value in the emissivity of near IR electromagnetic waves and far IR electromagnetic waves at a specific ratio, to a base material having many through-holes. SOLUTION: Electromagnetic wave radiation ceramic grains are prepd., in which the near IR electromagnetic waves of 2.5 to 3.2 μm and the far IR electromagnetic waves of 5.9 to 7.4 μm in the absorption wavelength to resonate and excite the moisture molecules after absorbing external temp. energy have the emissivity of at least >=0.8 to the emissivity of the black body and the grain sizes are <=1 μm in order to largely form the radiation surface area rate in such a manner that these electromagnetic waves are efficiency radiated. Such grains are compounded at a ratio of at least >=0.1 wt.% with the base material 2 which has hollow parts 2A and is formed by communicating these hollow parts 2A and the outside 2b with many vent holes 2C or these grains are attached to the base material, by which the deodorizing appliance 3 is formed. The deodorizing appliance 3 is used in a refrigerator, etc.
