Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transmitter in a simple circuit configuration, that is provided with an inexpensive power monitor circuit. SOLUTION: A power monitor circuit 3 uses a rectifier smoothing circuit 31 to provide an output of a rectified and smoothing signal resulting from rectifying and smoothing a signal received through an ATT (2nd variable attenuator) 19 and a 1st HYB (1st distributor) 22, and the rectified and smoothed signal is distributed to a 1st comparator 34 and a 2nd comparator 35 via a 2nd HYB 33. The comparator 34 provides an output of a 1st comparison signal denoting whether or not the rectified and smoothed signal is higher than a 1st prescribed value to a control section and the 2nd comparator 35 provides an output of a 2nd comparison signal denoting whether or not the rectified and smoothed signal is higher than a 2nd prescribed value to the control section.
