Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting device and method for a cut slope surface, having the capability of reducing a construction period and manhour, and properly maintaining planting quality via the quick and proper execution of a planting work. SOLUTION: A planting device 1 plants the cut slope surface 40 of the excavated natural ground with original grass stocks 17 and 18 in such a manner as sowing seeds or planting the original stock 18. In this case, the device is formed to have at least two net members arranged in parallel with each other at the prescribed gap, a rigidity adjustable frame member 12 erected around the two net members and planting substrate materials 14 densely provided in space between the two net members.
