Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device compatible with a CD player such as a CD reproducing device with variable speed or direction, particularly a DVD player, etc., also suitable for reproducing the CD or corresponding CD-ROM drive. SOLUTION: The data or information read out from the CD are read in a buffer memory at a speed faster than the speed usually required for real-time reproduction. In such a case, the data read in the buffer memory(RAM) in a continuous sequence shape are used for variable speed CD reproduction by sub-sampling or over sampling. A group of a sub-code word is read out continuously from the buffer memory by changing order in its group for opposite directional reproduction to be reproduced as a continuous reproduced data stream W. The matter that an assembly existing in the reproducing device is used for reproducing the CD with variable speed or direction is profitable, and further, the improvement of understanding probability of reproducing information, or precise discovery of a required reproducing position are possible. |
