Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract an image region to be analyzed stably regardless of the fluctuation of the brightness of an indefinite object whose image is to be picked up when the image is extracted to identify the indefinite object. SOLUTION: When a sample is placed on the sample stand of a microscope 1, an microscope image is picked up by an image pickup means 8 as a color image. A hue detection means 10 detects the hue of each pixel of the image that has been picked up and a first image-preprocessing means 11 extracts a part to be analyzed based on the detected hue. The extracted part to be analyzed is subjected to Fourier transform by a two-dimensional Fourier transform means 14. According to the conversion result, a power spectrum detection means 15 detects the power spectrum of the image of the part to be analyzed. An identification judgment means 16 identifies an indefinite object in the sample is identified based on the power spectrum.
