Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To examine mutagenicity, anti-mutagenicity, carcinogenesis, and anti- carcinogenesis by using a high-sensitivity MS/Ae mouse. SOLUTION: A substance to be tested is given to an MS/Ae mouse. The sister chromatids exchange frequency of the MS/Ae mouse is checked to examine the mutagenicity of the substance to be tested. Also the micronucleus- inducing frequency of the MS/Ae mouse is checked to examine the anti- mutagenicity of the substance to be tested. Also, the lung adenoma-inducing frequency and the Ms/Ae mouse is checked to examine the carcinogenesis and the anti-carciongenesis of the substance to be tested. The MS/Ae mouse is highly sensitive to a micronucleus test, a sister chromatids exchange test, and also shows a high sensitivity to a carcinogenesis agent, this easy screening of a mutagenicity substance, an anti-mutagenicity substance, a carcinogensis substance, and an anti-carcinogenesis substance is made possible. |
