Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record information to render a unrecorded part have a preferable high reflectance and also let a recording part have a preferable low reflectance by irradiating a recording layer with a laser beam and making the recording layer transit to a lower reflectance state than that when not recorded. SOLUTION: Information is recorded by shining a laser beam on an optical recording medium comprising a transparent substrate 1, a light transmissible recording layer 2, and a reflection layer 3. A thickness of the recording layer 2 is set so that a reflectance becomes a maximum on a boundary of the transparent substrate 1 and the recording layer 2. Further, the recording layer 2 is irradiated with a laser beam and is made to transit to a state in which it shows a lower reflectance than that when not recorded. Thus, the information is recorded. |
