Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus having high performance for collecting fine particles and for regeneration by combustion, and being much smaller than conventional apparatuses. SOLUTION: The fine particle-treating apparatus includes a closed and hollow cylindrical outer enclosure body 50, which has a gas-introducing port 500 and a gas-exhausting port 501 at the both ends respectively and a filter body which is provided with a porous high-temperature heat-resistant metal material with a resistance heating property densely and electrodes 3, 3 on two or more suitable positions, wherein each terminal of the electrodes is pulled out to the outside of the outer enclosure body 50 for conducting electricity. Each part is comprised so that particle-mixed gas flowing in from the outside is allowed to be exhausted via the filter. The suitable apparatus is obtained by using the filter body having the densely distributed high-temperature heat-resistant metal fiber material with the resistance heating property of insulating layers formed on the surface by the integrated high-temperature heat-resistant metal fibers manufactured by cutting the high-temperature heat-resistant metal, forming the filter body into a cylindrical body provided coaxially and multiply, or a corrugated plate-winding structure.
