PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform dictionary preparation while lightening the burden on user in dictionary construction, by allowing the user to decide a dictionary to be registered or deleted automatically without being aware of it, according to the contents of a document (source document in case of machine translation) to be processed, and automatically selecting a dictionary to be used at the time of processing (e.g. translation). SOLUTION: When a natural language document and dictionary update request information including a word to be registered in at least a dictionary used for natural language processing are received (1), the file of this natural language document is decided (3). The dictionary of this decided field is updated according to the dictionary update request information (5), and the natural language document is translated by referring to registered works of the update dictionary (6). The translation result is taken out of a translation service data base 7 and send to the user terminal as a request source through a network (8).
