Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce an electrophotographic photoreceptor maintaining film strength while improving lubricity and wear resistance and having satisfactory solvent cracking resistance by forming a surface layer contg. a specified polymer. SOLUTION: The surface layer of this electrophotographic photoreceptor with a photosensitive layer on the electrically conductive substrate contains a polymer having constituent units represented by formula I, wherein at least one of Ar1 and Ar2 is an aryl other than phenyl, X is one of groups represented by formulae II, etc., (where each of R1 -R4 is H, an alkyl, aryl, etc.), and (n) is an integer of 10-1,000. A binder used in an electric charge transferring layer is preferably based on a polymer having constituent units represented by formula III, wherein A is a 1-10C alkylidene, arylenedialkylidene, etc., and (n) is an integer of 40-400. |
