Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device by suppressing its breadth, without making the device high and to attain paper ejecting work corresponding to each operation mode of a printer mode and a copying mode. SOLUTION: An original scanning unit 3 is arranged so that the scanning direction of a lamp unit 12, for an original placed on a table glass 11 is the same as the longitudinal direction of a photoreceptor drum 35 disposed in a mechanism unit 5. Further, a facedown tray 10 is provided on the top part of the original scanning unit 3 and a faceup tray 9 is provided on a side opposite to the facedown tray 10 across the mechanism unit 5. A sheet of paper is ejected to the facedown tray 10 when the printer mode is executed, while the paper is ejected to the faceup tray 9, when the copying mode is executed, by a paper ejecting port switching part 44.
