HOLLOW GRANULAR MOLD FLUX FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a hollow granular mold flux for using the continuous casting of a steel, in a low cost and particularly, suitable to kind of steel except peritectic zone in the kind of steel (C=0.08-0.15%) and to obtain a good quality in both of the surface and the inner part. Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a hollow granular mold flux for using the continuous casting of a steel, in a low cost and particularly, suitable to kind of steel except peritectic zone in the kind of steel (C=0.08-0.15%) and to obtain a good quality in both of the surface and the inner part. SOLUTION: This mold flux is used to one applying a premelt treatment of two or more components in the main components of CaO, SiO2 , Al2 O3 , MgO and F<-> and made to >=40wt% blending ratio of these main components and containing 0.7-1.4 CaO/SiO2 , 1.0-15.0wt.% Al2 O3 , 1.0-15.0% Mg0, 1.5-4.5wt.% N2 O, <2.0wt.% Li2 O and no content of AlF3 and B2 O3 in the whole components and having 1.0-8.0 poise viscosity at 1300 deg.C, 280-370dyne/cm surface tension at 1250 deg.C and 1050-1250 deg.C solidified temp.
