Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver in which a preset memory procedure is executed smoothly and accurately. SOLUTION: In the case that a preset memory button 108A used for the preset memory procedure is depressed, the process continues to a preset memory standby processing independently of the preset memory procedure and a preset content is displayed on an external monitor 200. A position to be preset this time is indicated by a cursor and a position having been preset indicates a frequency. Moreover, positions having not been present are indicated in space. Furthermore, in the case that the preset memory button 108A is depressed again, the process continues to an execution end display processing and a position newly preset is indicated in a color different from that of the position having already been preset and the indication is cleared after a prescribed time and then the processing is finished.
