Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inspect the soldering state of a chip-shaped variable resistor to a printed-circuit board by a method wherein an angle which is formed by the side face part of a board and by its bottom face part is specified. SOLUTION: The angle which is formed by the side face part of a board 121 and by its bottom face part 125 is set at an acute angle of less than 90 deg.. Then, when the tip part 132 of a middle terminal 131 and the terminal part 135 of an outer terminal 134 are bent and worked upward along the side face part of the board 121, they can be bent to be right-angled even when a spring back is generated. In addition, when a chip-shaped variable resistor is mounted on a printed-circuit board 51 and when the shape of solder fillets 38 is viewed from the upper part, the solder fillets 38 can be recognized easily without being shaded by the tip part 132 of the middle terminal 131 and by the terminal part 135 of the outer terminal 134. Thereby, the operability of the visual inspection of a soldering operation is enhanced.
