PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently deform a waterproof plug by comparatively small pressing force, and attain its waterproof effect by positioning a sealing annular protrusive part of an outer peripheral part on the outside of a waterproof plug fitting chamber in a temporarily joining condition, and compressing it by an inner peripheral surface in a regularly joining condition. SOLUTION: A waterproof plug B or a cover C is put in a temporarily joining condition where a locking part 13a of a flexible locking arm 13 is engaged with a temporarily locking projection 5 to a connector housing A. In a temporarily joining condition, the connector housing A and the waterproof plug B are put in a lap condition where an annular fitting guide part 9 having a diameter smaller than an inner peripheral surface 4a of a peripheral wall 4 of a waterproof plug fitting chamber 3 overlaps with the inner peripheral surface 4a in the waterproof plug fitting chamber 3, and a sealing annular protrusive part 10 having a diameter larger than the inner peripheral surface 4a is positioned on the outside of the waterproof plug fitting chamber 3. Since the sealing annular protrusive part 10 of the waterproof plug B is put in an uncompressed condition, a sealing annular protrusive part 8 in an inserting hole 7 having a diameter smaller than a terminal metal fitting D or an electric wire E is easily and expansively opened and displaced, and the terminal metal fitting D can pass through it.
