Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a calculation time that the mathematical circuit requires by arranging a shift circuit so that the circuit is shifted to the left by one position when a 2nd subnumber consisting of more digits then a 1st subnumber is given. SOLUTION: A multiplier circuit 10 includes a shift circuit 18 which is connected between one its input and its output, and the shift circuit 18 selectively makes a shift to the left b one position or no shift corresponding to multiplication by a part 2. Further, a control circuit 24 is so arranged as to supply only on 2nd subnumber consisting of digits as many as or more than those of each 1st subnumber supplied to one input of the multiplying circuit 11 continuously to the other input. When the 2nd subnumber consisting of more digits than the 1st subnumber is supplied, the shift circuit 18 is so arrange as to perform switching for the shift to the left by one position. This multiplication needs to be done only once. |
