Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic elastomer composition capable of forming an elastomer component into a discontinuous phase and a thermoplastic resin component into a continuous phase within a high elastomer content range and thereby having an excellent softness and gas permeating resistance. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) at least one kind of thermoplastic resin component having <=25×10<-12> cc.cm/cm .sec.cmHg air permeability coefficient and (B) at least one kind of an elastomer component having <=1.0×10<-10> cc.cm/cm .sec.cmHg air permeability coefficient with the proviso that a viscosity ηm of the component A and the viscosity ηd of the component B at the kneading temperature satisfy the formula (-0.0518.|ΔSP|+0.90)/ m <(ηd /ηm ) (ΔSP is a difference of solubility parameters between the elastomer component and the thermoplastic resin component; m is a volume fraction of the thermoplastic resin component).
