Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject novel derivative that comprises a specific optically active phosphine derivative bearing several vinyl groups and is useful as a polymer carrier ligand for an asymmetric reaction as asymmetric hydroformylation excellent in catalytic activity and asymmetric yield. SOLUTION: This novel compound is represented by formula I [Ar is a (substituted) phenyl, a (substituted) naphthyl; R and R are each, H, a lower, a lower alkoxy, halogen; R and R may incorporate to form a hydrocarbon ring], typically 2'-diarylposphino-1,1-biphenylene-2-yloxy(6,6'-divinyl-1,1'- binaphthalene-2,2'-diyl-oxy)phosphine derivative, and is useful as a polymer carrier ligand for a catalyst for an asymmetrical synthesis reaction. This compound is prepared by reaction of a dioxychlorophosphine of formula II derived from bi-naphthol with a hydroxyphosphine of formula III (Ph is phenyl). |
