Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful for using as a photorecording material, a phototransforming material, a fluorescent pigment, etc. SOLUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are each H or phenyl; M is AlX (X is H, a halogen, etc.)], e.g. tetra- 2-(n)- octylphenyl}pyrazinoporphyrazinate aluminum hydroxide. The compound of the formula I in a case of having a halogen atom as the X is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with AlCl3 in an organic solvent such as C6 H4 Cl2 and in the presence of a catalyst such as (NH4 )2 MnO4 at a temperature from 50 deg.C to the boiling point of the used solvent for from several 10min to several 10hrs.
