Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective, reliable, and simply and compactly constituted device for eliminating NOx from exhaust gas of an automobile provided with an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This device for eliminating NOx from the exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine is provided with a porous adsorption body 1 immersed liquid alkali electrolyte 4 for adsorbing the NOx as nitrate and nitrite. A pair of electrodes 5, 6 which are distributed with a pair for electrochemically decomposing the nitrate and nitrite to nitrogen, are distributed in the absorption body 1.
