Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photothermal recording or a thermal recording film which has a reduced degree of fog such as pepper fog. SOLUTION: This photothermal recording or a thermal recording film shows the formation and combination of oxidation reduction images composed of a silver behenate oxidizing agent. In addition, the file comprises an oxidizing agent which contains about 800 micrograms or less of polyunsaturated fatty silver salt and about 3800 micrograms or less of monounsaturated fatty silver slat per one gram of oxidizing agent. Further, the film itself contains about 100 micrograms or less of polyunsaturated fatty silver salt and about 400 micrograms or less of monounsaturated fatty silver salt per one gram of fusion in the film, and is composed of an organic reducing agent with a synthetic polymer colloidal photosensitive halogenated silver and cyclic imido toner contained in a non-gelatin polymer binder.
