Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detector excellent in temperature characteristics in which a signal corresponding to a specific position (angle), e.g. irregularities, of a magnetic moving body can be obtained accurately. SOLUTION: The detector comprises magnets 4A, 4B generating a field, magnetic rotators 2A, 2 disposed through a specified gap with respect to the magnets and varying the field generated therefrom, and giant reluctance elements 3A, 3B set with an operating region equal to the varying range of resistance uniform in any varying direction of the field being varied by the magnetic rotators 2A, 2 and detecting the varied field to produce a plurality of outputs having different peak values. The center of the giant reluctance elements is shifted from the center of the field generating means in the direction parallel with the plane including the displacing direction of the magnetic rotators. |
