Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject new DNA containing an rRNA-complimentary base sequence partially complimentary to the 3'-terminal base sequence of a 16S ribosome RNA originated from coryneform bacteria and useful for the efficient translation of a protein in coryneform bacteria. SOLUTION: This new recombinant DNA for efficient translation of a protein in coryneform bacteria has an rRNA-complimentary base sequence composed of 6-12 bases wherein at least 6 bases are complimentary to the 1st to 12th base sequences of the 3'-terminal of a 16S ribosome RNA originated from coryneform bacteria. The DNA is useful for the production of various useful proteins in high efficiency by using a recombinant DNA technique. The recombinant DNA can be produced by connecting a high-AT content base sequence composed of 1-30 bases and having an AT content of >=75% to the upstream side of the 3'-terminal of a 16S ribosome RNA originated from coryneform bacteria and connecting the product to the objective expression protein at the upstream side of its translation initiation codon and the downstream side of the tac promoter. |
