Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition for hard surfaces, excellent in detergency for scum fouling or sedum fouling on the hard surfaces, especially a bathroom, etc., inorganic fouling in toilet stools, etc., composite foulings, etc., of oils, fats and inorganic materials around kitchens and reduced in wiping marks after cleaning and having long-term preservation stability. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises (A) 0.1-30wt.% serine-N,N- diacetic acid or its salt represented by the formula (M denotes H, Na, K or NH4 ), (B) 0.1-30wt.% surfactant and (C) 0.1-50wt.% water-soluble solvent. The ratio (B)/(C) of the content of the ingredient (B) to that of the ingredient (C) is (5/1) to (1/50).
