Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a reference document and data in a data base for a user while dynamically relating them. SOLUTION: A phrase usable as a retrieval key is automatically extracted from a document to be referred to by the user, namely, from a document displayed on a document display part 7 by a phrase extracting part 6. Next, retrieving processing with the extracted phrase as the key is performed by a retrieving method corresponding to the kind of that phrase, and data corresponding to the extracted phrase are retrieved from a data storage part 3 and displayed on a screen. Therefore, the reference document and related information can be dynamically related without performing any work for relating them and the document can be presented for the user while dynamically relating the other information such as the data in the data base from a plane text, for example.
